2. I C E

About: Theme: ice as far as the eye can see: in this post-apocalyptic universe swept by powerful winds, a city resists. Each year the city's guilds send archaeological expeditions to scour the ice of the inlandsis. Their destination: the valley of the ancients where the remains of an ancient civilization would be buried.

Game mechanics: I C E is a tile exploration game combining tactics and strategy. Evolving on 5 superimposed levels, the players embody a guild by moving an expedition leader. Thanks to a clever archaeologist movement system, players discover and take tiles containing artefacts and other vestiges of the past. By displaying these different types of artifacts and returning them to the city, Expedition Leaders validate valuable objectives that allow them to increase their Prestige Points.

Originality: The gameplay of I C E integrates the notion of burial specific to archaeological sites. The different layers of tiles act as a game board and allow you to perform effects or obtain artefacts. The game ends when a tile from the last layer is fully uncovered, this will indicate a game variant for the next game.

3. Dreidel (Scripted)

About: “The Hebrew word for dreidel is sevivon, which, as in Yiddish, means “to turn around.” Dreidels have four Hebrew letters on them, and they stand for the saying, Nes gadol haya sham, meaning A great miracle occurred there. In Israel, instead of the fourth letter shin, there is a peh, which means the saying is Nes gadol haya po — A great miracle occurred here. Playing with the dreidel is a traditional Hanukkah game played in Jewish homes all over the world, and rules may vary.” - My Jewish Learning. Head over to MyJewishLearning.com to get a full breakdown of the set-up and rules!

CR4YCR4Y’s mod brings this Hanukkah tradition into the digital world so you can play with friends and family near and far! This mod contains: A Dreidel, Two bottomless bags of Hanukkah Gelt, & Enough holiday spirit to defeat an ancient Greek army. The Dreidel is scripted and will align to a random rotation and spin when dropped. The Dreidel may be tinted in game. This works best with light, bright, or pastel colors. Rules are included in the Notebook. There is also a rule reference and Yiddish Dictionary on the side of the screen.

There are no captures or jumps, but players' pieces will keep sliding on open tiles if they move in a direction until they would run into something.
